IBC, STEVTA and KWCCI jointly organized a dialogue on “Gender Mainstreaming in TVET” on May 10, 2018 at Movenpick Hotel. The TVET Sector Support Programme aims to improve Gender Mainstreaming in TVET that meets the demands of the labour market. The event started with a keynote speech by Ameena Saiyid, Chair of Oxford University Press, followed by a panel discussion of distinguished individuals from various organizations. The key points discussed were as follows:

• Women enrolment in TVET programmes.
• Skilled labour and women in technical jobs.
• Equal opportunity employer and its impact on the industry.
• Strategies to ensure women participation in the TVET sector.

To promote trade between Pakistan and the Philippines, the GE Group has established the Pakistan Philippines Business Forum in partnership with the Embassy of Philippines. The objective of this forum is to facilitate business ventures and to better understand the regulatory and compliance policies of both countries to enhance imports and exports. The key sectors are cement, pharmaceuticals, agriculture and textile.

As part of the Pakistan Philippines Business Forum, CEO of the GE Group, Sheikh Hammad Amjad, took part in a Joint Economic Committee Meeting that discussed bilateral trade promotion between Pakistan and Philippines. The event was held on 28th February, 2018 and an MoU was also signed, affirming commitment to boosting trade between the two nations.

GE Group signed an MoU with the Dawn Media Group on March 20th 2018, to be strategic partners in the field of Education. We look forward to this fruitful partnership and achieving mutual goals.

Central Asian states have always been of strategic importance for Pakistan, further enhancing its significance in the context of China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). On March 14^th 2018, GE Group Pakistan signed an MoU with the GE Group in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, to facilitate business linkages and provide market access and intelligence to their members based in both the countries.

Lucy Butters, a certified cultural intelligence trainer, speaker and coach based in the UK, visited Pakistan from 5th November to 12th November 2017. She delivered the first ever Cultural Intelligence Training in Pakistan at UBL on 7th November and at Pakistan Institute of Management (PIM) on 9th November. Lucy established Elembee Ltd in 2010 and specializes in developing cultural intelligence. She is certified by, and works in collaboration with the Cultural Intelligence Centre (USA).

On September 28th 2017, the Retail Safari 2017 was held at Movenpick Hotel Karachi by LXY Global with the GE Group as strategic partner. The event was attended by leaders from a number of prominent retail businesses, who discussed global trends and glimpsed into the future of retail landscape of Pakistan. Those present at the conference included representatives from Unilever, Dolmen Group, Mont Hill UAE, Reckitt Benckiser, AlKaram, Facebook and Mondelez, to name a few. An interactive session was also held by the CEO of the GE Group – Sheikh Hammad Amjad, who, along with diplomats from the U.S. Consulate, Swiss Consulate, and Australian Trade and Investment Commission, discussed how diplomacy can help foster businesses between countries.
